Roof Help for Our Chin & Burmese Neighbors
We are a family roofing company based in Perry Township — the same neighborhood as many Chin families. If your roof is leaking or you are worried about it, we will look at it for free and tell you the truth about what it needs.
You Should Not Have to Worry About Being Cheated
Some roofing companies take advantage of families who are still learning English or who are buying their first home in America. They use high prices, fast contracts, and pressure. They know it is harder to say no when you cannot read every word.
We will not do that to you. That is the whole reason this company exists.
Our name is Martinez Roofing & More. Jacqueline Hall owns it, her husband Roberto works with her, and they live on the south side. It is a family business and a women-owned business. We are licensed, bonded, and insured, and we are an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor.
About language — we want to be honest
Our phone is answered in English. We have a team member who speaks Burmese, but she does not answer phone calls. We are not going to pretend otherwise.
We also want to be clear that Hakha Chin, Falam, and Zomi are not available in any translation tool we can put on this website. So we will not pretend a button solves this.
Here is what we will do: we will work with you until you understand.
Text us instead of calling if that is easier. Email us. Bring your son, daughter, cousin, friend, or someone from your church to help translate. Take our written estimate home and have someone read it with you. Ask us to explain anything again. We will not rush you and we will not be annoyed.
Pick Whatever Is Easiest for You
Best if English is hard to speak
Text us
Many people find texting easier than talking on the phone. You can write slowly, use a translator on your phone, and take your time. Text (317) 822-1846.
Best if you prefer writing
Fill out the form
Use the form on our website. It takes about 30 seconds — your name, phone, address, and what you need. We will call or text you back.
Best if you have someone to help
Call with a helper
Call us with a family member or friend who can translate. Put us on speaker. We are happy to explain everything twice.
Simple, Step by Step
You call, text, or fill out the form
Tell us your address and what is wrong. If you are not sure what is wrong, that is fine.
We come and climb on your roof — for free
We do not just look from the ground. We get on the roof and check everything by hand. This costs you nothing.
We take photos and show you
You will see pictures of your own roof. We will explain what each one means in simple words. You keep all the photos, even if you never hire us.
We give you a written price
Everything is listed out so you can see what you are paying for. Take it home. Show your family. Show another roofer. Compare.
You decide when you are ready
Our price never expires. There is no deadline. If you need three months, take three months. The price stays the same.
We Also Do Church Roofs
There are many Chin churches on the south side, and many of them are in older buildings. If your church needs a roof looked at, we will inspect it for free and give your board or trustees a written report with photos — whether or not you hire us.
Free inspection of every building on your property
Written, itemized price your board can review
We schedule around service times, weddings, and funerals
Photo documentation for your church records
Our own crew — we never subcontract
A price that does not expire while your board decides
Honest Answers
Do you charge for a roof inspection?
No. The inspection is free. The written estimate is free. You do not pay anything, and you are not required to hire us afterward. We will give you all the photos we take so you can show your family or another roofer.
What if my English is not strong?
That is not a problem. You can text us instead of calling, which is easier for many people. You can email us. You can bring a family member, a friend, or someone from your church to help translate. We will go slowly and we will not rush you.
Does someone answer the phone in Burmese?
No — we want to be honest about that. Our phone is answered in English. We have a team member who speaks Burmese, but she does not answer phone calls. If English is difficult, please text or email us, or bring someone to help interpret, and we will make sure you understand everything before you decide anything.
Will you pressure me to buy a new roof?
No. And if your roof does not need to be replaced, we will tell you that. Sometimes a repair is the right answer. Sometimes your roof is fine and you need nothing. We will tell you the truth even when it means less work for us.
Does your price change later?
No. Our estimates never expire. The price we write down is the price. There is no deadline, no discount that disappears, and no penalty if you take weeks or months to decide. You can get other prices and compare — we encourage it.
Can you help my church?
Yes. We do commercial roofing for churches, including sanctuaries, fellowship halls, and education wings. The inspection is free, we schedule around your service times, and we provide documentation your board or trustees will need.
What if I already have a leak?
Call or text right away at (317) 822-1846. Put a bucket under the water and move furniture away. Take photos before you clean anything up. We will tell you honestly whether someone needs to come today.
We serve Perry Township, Southport, Beech Grove, Greenwood, and all of Indianapolis.
